Although Monday’s federal election saw Canadian news banned from being shared on Meta platforms for the first time, Canadians were still blasted with misleading and fake political content ahead of the vote. According to an analysis by the Financial Times, a coordinated network of accounts on X attacked Liberal Party leader Mark Carney and boosted positive content of the Conservatives' Pierre Poilievre.
